Herman brings a lengthy résumé in college football to Tallahassee. He won the Broyles Award in 2014 as an offensive coordinator at Ohio State before taking his first head coaching job at Houston, where he spent two seasons. He subsequently became the head coach at Texas before most recently serving as head coach at Florida Atlantic, where he went 6-16 over two seasons before being fired.
